Who We Work With

We are not the right fit for every business, and we would rather be upfront about that than waste your time. ROI Technology serves a specific type of client, and we have built our entire service model around their needs. Here is who we work best with — and who might be better served by someone else.

Our Ideal Client

  • 5 to 200 employees. This is the range where managed IT delivers the most value. You are big enough to need professional IT management but not big enough to justify a full internal IT department. Or you have one IT person who needs backup and enterprise tools.
  • Professional services and compliance-sensitive industries. We specialize in industries where data protection, regulatory compliance, and operational reliability are not optional. Law firms, dental practices, healthcare, manufacturing, financial services, non-profits, education, construction, real estate, insurance, wholesale distribution, and logistics.
  • Western Washington. Our service area covers Skagit, Whatcom, Snohomish, King, and Pierce counties. We provide remote support to clients anywhere, but onsite support and the relationship that comes with proximity require geographic alignment.
  • Values security and reliability over lowest price. Our clients understand that IT is an investment in business continuity, not just an expense to minimize. They want things done right, documented, and defensible — not cheap and risky.
  • Willing to follow security standards. We enforce MFA, endpoint protection, patching, and access controls for every client. If a prospective client wants to skip security controls to save money or avoid inconvenience, we are not the right fit.

Who We Are Not the Right Fit For

We believe in being direct about this. We would rather help you find the right provider than take on a relationship that will not work:

  • Businesses with fewer than 5 employees. Our service model is designed for teams, not individuals. A business with two or three people does not need the level of infrastructure and management we provide. A local computer shop or break-fix provider will serve you better and cost less.
  • Retail businesses. Point-of-sale systems, retail inventory management, and consumer-facing technology are outside our core expertise. Retail IT has unique requirements that specialists handle better than we would.
  • Restaurants and food service. Similar to retail, restaurant technology — POS systems, kitchen display systems, reservation platforms — is a specialized field that requires a provider focused on hospitality technology.
  • Businesses looking for the lowest possible price. If your primary selection criteria is the cheapest monthly rate, our service will not align with your expectations. We invest heavily in security, monitoring, and documentation. That investment shows up in our pricing and in our results — $0 in ransomware losses and zero voluntary churn.
